Speed Queen® Customer Discusses his Experience in a Non-Traditional Market
Planet Laundry’s “Breaking with Tradition” article interviewed Speed Queen® customer Paul Carter, owner of North Fort Myers Laundromat, for his “non-traditional” laundry operations. Carter’s store was recognized for its immense size and atypical customers, including high schools, Major League Baseball farm teams and various charitable groups.
When asked to share his advice for other operators Carter noted, “Get out from behind the counter. Get out into the community. Join the local chamber of commerce. Start networking. Start building relationships, because word of mouth is your best marketing tool – and that’s not going to happen if you never get out of the store.”
