Speed Queen® Sales Manager Explains the Importance of a Laundromat’s Location in American Coin-Op Magazine

In American Coin-Op magazine’s November Coin-Op 101 column, Speed Queen® North American sales manager Dan Bowe shares key considerations for choosing the ideal location for a laundromat. When opening a new laundromat or moving an existing laundromat to a new location, Bowe encourages owners to evaluate surrounding competitors, identify nearby parking options, analyze the demographics in the surrounding area and find a space that is large enough to accommodate a vended laundry business, which is typically between 2,000 and 6,000 square feet.

“Finding the right site for your laundromat may seem like a daunting task, but the best equipment manufacturers are available for support and can provide invaluable insight into demographics, location, parking, construction, differentiation and more,” says Bowe. “Their unmatched experience and analytics can help identify the best location within your area and even help design and finance your business.”
