Well, we all know it’s not business as usual during the COVID-19 crisis. But that doesn’t mean, that as a laundromat owner, you maintain a status quo. Truly committed owners will put themselves in their customers’ shoes and give them what they want. And right now, many are concerned about getting an even more advanced clean in doing all they can to remove bacteria.

Tony Vis, who owns Quick Clean Laundromat in Racine, Wis., designed a special cycle for his customers and address their increased interest in a superior clean. Tony created a “Hot Wash Special” that drives off the idea of commercial washer-extractor spin speeds removing more residual chemicals and bacteria.

The cycle has three washes (one more than his normal premium cycle) and two rinses. Between each of those washes and rinses, he added an intermediate spin step – instead of the traditional drain where it doesn’t spin.  He also increased the cycle time to 40 minutes. And the best part? Well, we’ll let Tony tell you, himself.

“Whether it’s right or wrong, I kept the pricing the same on this cycle as I had for my other most expensive cycle. Yes, that cycle will not be as profitable for me as I’m using more water, but I’m trying to help my loyal customers and the public remove these nasty viruses from their clothes.”

For Tony, it was just the right thing to do – putting the safety and wellbeing of his customers first.

It’s important during these times to do all you can to not only keep your customers safe, but also show them that you are in this together. The result, as we get through this crisis, will be more loyal customers and a healthier business.
