- Speed Queen’s show stopper was the public unveiling of the next evolution of its controls – Quantum Touch. The new full-color, touchscreen control is the centerpiece of a sleek new design of vended washer-extractors and tumble dryers.
Quantum Touch takes the profitable cycle modifier to new levels. Modifier prompts and clear descriptions of these extra options will increase the percentage of customers who select premium wash options. In addition, Speed Queen broke new ground as the first manufacturer to offer cycle modifiers on the tumbler side, where anti-wrinkle and reversing tumble drive better profitability on the dry side. Thirty language options ensure all customers can quickly and easily operate all equipment.
Visitors who truly wanted to reimagine what a store fully equipped with Quantum Touch machines and Speed Queen Insights would look like had to look no further than the virtual reality experience we offered during the show. Through a virtual reality headset, visitors got a tour of just such a store, even interacting with the equipment.
- Speed Queen’s commitment to technology was also evident in our display of upcoming point of sale (POS) and customer relationship management (CRM) components for the Speed Queen Insights laundry management system. Both offer a host of functionalities to further manage and market your laundry to increase revenue.
- Visitors got a sneak peek at another new product – Speed Queen’s Stacked Washer-Extractor/Tumble Dryer. The product is a stacked washer-extractor and tumble dryer with a 30-pound capacity and is equipped with the Quantum Touch control. It offers store owners another option to maximize space and increase return on investment per square foot.
- Speed Queen customers also got to see the benefits provided by being part of the Alliance Laundry Systems family. The global leader in commercial laundry unveiled next-level service technology – an augmented reality feature. Soon machines will be fitted with unique QR codes, where a servicer or store owner can scan the code with an app and literally see inside the machine without removing a panel. The technology will put all documents literally at your finger tips and speed service and parts ordering.
