It\u2019s been about a year since Aaron Helms and his wife decided that Van Buren, Ark.\u00a0needed a new laundromat \u2013 one that\u00a0delivered a truly exceptional customer experience, cutting-edge technology and,\u00a0of course, an excellent wash. With a June 19 grand opening, The Washroom Laundromat will see that vision come together.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The Washroom\u00a0offers 3,000-square-feet of space, power doors and the latest Speed Queen technology, including its game-changing revenue-generating Quantum Touch control.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\u201cThere\u2019s nothing on the market that even comes close to looking as good as the Quantum Touch,\u201d Helms said of knowing immediately after he saw the technology that his store would go with Speed Queen.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
With washer-extractor capacities up to 60 pounds and tumblers up to 75 pounds, the laundry will be able to handle customers\u2019 largest loads. In addition, the store will offer wash-dry-fold services for customers who want the ultimate in simplifying the laundry task.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Helms said he wants The Washroom to wow customers from the moment they walk through the power doors. They\u2019ll do that with great staff and through technology such as the Speed Queen mobile app, which enables customers to pay for cycles from a mobile wallet on their smart phone and earn rewards points.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\u201cI\u2019m just excited about that day, you know, flipping that open sign on \u2026watching that first customer walk through the door,\u201d Helms said, of the\u00a0build up\u00a0to opening the store.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
As for tips to newcomers who may be thinking that a laundromat\u2019s essential business standing during the COVID-19 crisis makes it a solid investment when other businesses are closed\u00a0or struggling, Helms suggests that there is no substitute for experience.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t make this happen without a good distributor,\u201d he said, adding that his Speed Queen distributor, Laundry Solutions Co. was invaluable. \u201cIf you\u2019ve never done it before, you\u2019re not doing it on your own.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
